A Consumer Study -or- Forcing You To Allow Me To View You Through the Tainted Lens of My Personal Worldview, In Ways That I Only Partly Understand

In effort to connect more with anyone who happens upon this blog from time to time, I have created I psychological profiling survey unique to how I understand and interpret the world. You will be asked to respond to each item by “commenting” to this post. The items are a series of metaphor-like statements or ideas for you to construct regarding your life and experiences. These are metaphors that I feel like I can categorize you with and better understand and judge you with. Completing this survey should be a little less than bothersome and a little more interesting than soccer, which probably isn’t saying much. This study is both longitudinal and highly valid. It can be used in court.

Is your life more like…
a) today’s heavyweight boxing bouts
b) mixed martial arts
c) an authentic Native American peace pipe smoking

Which wing sauce do you prefer:
a) mild
b) medium
c) hot
d) honey bar-b-q

If your life had to have a soundtrack, and that soundtrack had to be hip-hop, who would you want to do it:
a) T.I.
b) Mos Def
c) Eminem
d) 50 cent
e) Dead Prez
f) Jay Z
g) Snoop
h) A full orchestra covering 50 cent

Which United States President do you most relate to in your day to day life (personally rather than ideologically):
(choose any U.S. president, I call dibs on the late Gerald R. Ford)

If you had to live one character’s life in one specific t.v. show episode past or present, who would you choose, and what episode would it be?

If you had to live one character’s life in the episode of the Andy Griffith show where Opey kills the mother bird, who would you be:
a) Sheriff Andy Taylor
b) Opey
c) Aunt Bea
d) Barney

What is the last book you read, the last song you listened to, and the last t.v. show you watched?

What do you honestly think Jesus would do?

Thank you for your participation in this survey, hopefully, your responses will help us gear this blog more toward, or extremely against your natural persuasions. Either way, it could make things interesting.

HOORAY FOR PROFILING!! Anything that can be used to pigeon hole me, I'm all in...

Life most like - pipe smoking martial artist. I could kick your ass if I wanted to, but I'd rather chill and eat these chips.

Wingsauce - hot. WingMAN - average looking with a great sense of humor and sweet negotiation skills (I'm married, btw, no wingman needed... but if...)

Hip hop life sound track - Eminem

U.S. Prez - Millard Fillmore. With a name like Millard, you gotta be a fighter!

Character & Episode - Jack Bauer, in any episode ever.

Griffith Character - Barney, always Barney (unless Jack Bauer)

Book finished - Sex God
Book reading - Divine Conspiracy
Song Listened - Down With Disease by Phish
TV show mindlessly watched - Sports Center this morning
TV show purposefully watched - Lost

Jesus would give lots of hugs and paint pictures of teddy bears with cowboy hats on slides. That's what nice people do. Jesus is nice.

Mixed martial arts - when it's fast, it's brutal. Every time I think I've got a hold on life it does some freaked out counter on me.

Honey BBQ - Buffalo sauce doesn't do any thing for me anymore. I love me some BBQ sauce.

I've read and heard those names, but they mean little to me. Why not style of music. Americana Gothic for me (16 Horsepower, Slim Cessna's Auto Club, Th' Legendary Shack Shakers).

I'd like to say Regan, but I don't know enough about the personal lives of our Presidents.

I'd want to be Special Agent Cooper from Twin Peaks. The episode he has the dream in the red room with the dwarf and the dwarf's sister that looks like Laura Palmer.

It's got to be Opey. As sad as it was to kill that mother bird....I'll stop right there.

The Politically Incorrect Guide to the South and Why It Will Rise Again by Clint Johnson (a book every Southerner should read) and Ester
Ichabod by Th' Legendary Shack Shakers (I'm listening to it now, again)
I.F.L. (Saturday night, but now my TV isn't working)

"I did not come to bring peace on Earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword." Matthew 10:34 (the version escapes me presently)

1) Post NA peace pipe smoking. Is this a hallucination or am I really seeing this?

2)If it doesn't make you break out into a sweat, it isn't hot enough.

3)I have to go with DP and "F" the po-po and shout "give me back my f'n money"!

4)JFK - They shot 'em.

5/6)Aunt Bea - when she got the new freezer for her meat.

7)Take this Bread, Christmas Song by Dave Mathews, Gray's finale.

8)Definitely not what's going on now.

Life is like- todays heavyweight boxing bouts. But I'd say I'd been low blowed a couple of times and it ended in a DQ

Wing sauce- medium.

Hip/Hop- definetly the mighty MOS!

Personally I feel like I'd be able to relate to Abe Lincoln just bc I've read bios on the guy and he seemed like a rag tag SOB. He would've fit in nicely with the A-Team.

TV character easy- Jack Bauer. It's who I want to be when I grow up.

I'd go Barney, bc I always felt that his bumbling character was just a put up. He knew what was going donw, somewhat like Columbo.

Last book- autobio of John Wooden

Last song- 3 libras by A Perfect Circle

Last TV show- Sportscenter

I really can't say what Jesus would do bc I dont think even the mighty Benny Hinn/Pat Robertson duo would. And when they don't know, well what chance does that give me.

I just posted for the first time in many months... and it was comforting to come here and see that you haven't posted either. I don't know why it's comforting, and I probably should feel bad for it. So I do... but now it's over. You need to post more. Your brain works well. Share it with others... selfish.
